34all graphs the Genealogy of Influence

April 4, 2007

Martin Dudek has built a really stunning graph viewer, 34all, running off the Prefuse library and setup to view my Genealogy of Influence dataset among other sets. The tabs at the top switch between three modes: local view showing the immediate neighborhood, an intermediate view, and a global view.

Here is a link to the download page. The first download including 34all and Prefuse is the one you want. You will also need a local download of my graphml file. (Mac primer – to run sh files, open Terminal, change directory to the 34all folder “cd desktop/34allxxx”, then type “sh 34all.sh”)

It’s kind of funny that while I didn’t have the coding skillz to do what I wanted with Prefuse, it ended up being created anyway. Good ol’ Internets.
