Random walk through Freebase with Wikipedia frame

September 28, 2007

New Freebase application: Random Walk with Wikipedia Frame. I was aiming to simplify the previous random walk app. So I pared it down to one influence line at a time and I use the rest of the screen to pull up the Wikipedia article.

I also solved an earlier problem in Safari and IE for both applications. I was querying using names, but accented characters weren’t working for Safari or IE, and this would break the chain. Now I’m querying using Wikipedia urls as a key after the first time. The accented characters still don’t show properly in Safari or IE, but it doesn’t break the querying chain – hopefully.
