I’m impressed with Tumblr, a free, highly-simplified blog service. The focus is on sharing media – they isolate the different types of posting: text, photos, quotes, links, chats, audio and video – and their bookmarklet is pretty good at guessing what you want to post when you’re looking at a page. I think this will become as popular as Blogger, WordPress and Twitter.
They also have an API and let you edit the HTML of your site. Brendan and Seth were playing around with this and added two extra bits of functionality: a script (hosted elsewhere) that reloads when a new post has appeared, and a box at the top that lets anyone post to the blog.
